Email to Google Sheets, a row at a time

Connect a Google account and pick a spreadsheet, and every email the endpoint receives becomes a row: one per email, or one per line item when a layout reads the products of an order. Each column is a header and a value you choose, from the subject and the sender to the fields your layouts pick out.

On every plan, Free included. Rows do not count against your quota.

Set it up

  1. 1

    Create an endpoint

    Sign up free and create an endpoint. Forward the emails you want in the sheet to its address, or give the address to the sender.

  2. 2

    Say what to read

    Name the fields you need, or add a layout (a ready-made one or your own) so the products of an order become line items.

  3. 3

    Add a Google Sheets destination

    In the endpoint's Settings, under Forwarding, pick Google Sheets and connect a Google account. webhooks.cc asks only for the spreadsheets it creates or that you pick for it (Google's drive.file permission), never the rest of your Drive.

  4. 4

    Choose the sheet and the columns

    Create a new spreadsheet with your columns as its header row, or choose one from Drive. Give each column a header and a value such as {{ subject }} or {{ fields.order }}, and pick one row per email or one per line item.

A row per email, or per line item

Take an order email from Acme with two products, read by a layout that finds the order number, the total and the line items. With a row per email, the order takes one line:

One row per email
From{{ from.address }}Subject{{ subject }}Order{{ parsed.fields.order }}Total{{ parsed.fields.total }}
orders@acme.exampleOrder #1001 confirmed100137.50

With a row per line item, each product gets a line of its own, and the order's values can sit beside the item's:

One row per line item
Order{{ parsed.fields.order }}SKU{{ item.sku }}Qty{{ item.qty }}Price{{ item.price }}
1001ACME-TEE-M212.50
1001ACME-MUG112.50

An email without line items still adds one row. Start from a ready-made layout for Shopify, WooCommerce or Etsy orders, which reads their line items, then check it on one of your own emails in the preview.
